Peekamoose/Table Mtn. Trail - Blue Markers

Parking lot on Gulf Road. Blue Trail climbs steadily up to old woods
road. Watch for sharp right turn off woods road, trail follows narrow
but heavily wood ridge. |

As the climbing gets very steep, there is a small path to the right
at the 3500' - No Camping sign, leading to a nice overlook. |

Blue Trail climbs up to Reconnoiter Rock, looking back on the ridge,
Van Wyck Mountain across the valley, and on south. Trail continues
along flat, open ridge with many views south. When the trail turns
sharply left (North) away from the open ledges, you are at the
junction with the former ledges trail, now unmaintained. Trail climbs
steadily, occasionally steeply up the ridge to the summit. |

Summit of Peekamoose Mtn. Limited views from top of boulder just past
summit. Blue Trail descends towards col between Table and Peekamoose. |

Blue Trail meanders through wooded col before climbing to the long
flat, wooded summit of Table. Watch for side paths to the right to views. |

Summit of Table Mountain. Blue Trail starts down steeply, with views
towards Slide Mountain. |

Small spring right of trail. Blue Trail acends slightly over
"bump" on ridge, with views south towards Van Wyck
Mountain. Then descends down to ridge towards the Denning lean-to |

Cross log bridge across East Branch of the Neversink to the Denning
lean-to on an island in the river. Many campsites in this very
popular area. Blue Trail leaves lean-to area and crosses river. |

Blue trail ends at the Phoenicia-East Branch Trail. Left on Yellow
markers to Denning Parking Lot, right to Slide Mountain Trails and
parking lot. |
