Woodland Valley Campground parking lot (fee charged). Trail leaves from the back of parking lot, climbing Fork Ridge. The route from NY 28 is well marked with signs for the campground.

Trail decends very steeply, crosses stream (often dry) on bridge.

Trail meets old road.

Junction with Giant Ledge-Panther Mtn. rail (Blue Markers) to the right. Trail leaves old road (which leads left to Winnisook Lake) and descends downhill.

Trail meets County Rt 47 at the sharp turn (parking). The trail follows CR 47 left for 1.75 mi. to the Slide Mountain parking lot, and continues on to Denning. To reach this trailhead from NY 28, turn south onto CR 47 in Big Indian.
