Start of trail at parking lot on Elka Park Road. To reach this busy parking lot from NY 23A, go south on CR16 at the stoplight in Tannersville. In 2 miles, bear right on Elka Park Road, the trailhead will be on the right past Mink Hollow Road. From the Prediger Road trailhead of the Devil's path, turn left on CR 16, then in 1 mile, left on Dale Lane, and then right on Elka Park Road.

Junction; left on the Pecoy Notch Trail (Blue Markers) to the notch between Twin and Sugarloaf Mountains; right on the Mink Hollow Trail (Blue Markers) to the notch between Sugarloaf and Plateau Mountains, and on to Lake Hill.
