Junction with Devil's Path (Red Markers) from Devil's Tombstone Campground in Stony Clove (east) and Diamond Notch (west). Trail climbs a old rough woods road at a gentle grade.

Switchbacks climb up the slope

Junction with Becker Hollow Trail (Blue Markers), right to Rte 214 and Stony Clove, and the Spruceton Trail (Blue markers), straight ahead for the fire tower (.25 mi). If you look at the rocks at this junction, you can find signs of the original Hunter Mtn fire tower that here. To the left of the juction is where the lean-to was located until the late 1970's. To the left , a yellow marked trail leads 100 yards to a series of rocky outlooks, wiith some of the finest views in the Catskills (don't miss it!).
